Can I be a part of the Terror on the Bayou haunt team?
Yes.  See our “Now Hiring” page on the website for more details.

What should I wear?
Our attractions are located outdoor.  We recommend dressing in layers depending on the weather.  The early evening may start off warm and cool down as the sun sets.  Wear comfortable shoes as all events require some walking on dirt or mulch pathways.  We strongly advise against wearing high heels or shorts – we may have mosquitoes in the evening hours.

Can I buy tickets online?
Yes, tickets can be purchased through our Facebook page, and online at www.JeffersonRailway.com or www.TerrorOnTheBayou.com .  Online tickets are not available after 11:00 on the day of the event.

What time does the park open and close?
The park opens at 6:00 PM on Friday and Saturday of the event.  Tickets will be on sale at the park each day of the event.  The park closes 90 minutes after the last scheduled train departs from the boarding platform.

How do I get there?
From Hwy 59, take Hwy 49 East toward Downtown Jefferson. Left at Y in the road, Hwy 49 East toward Smithland. RV Park is one (1) mile on the right. Signs will be posted.  Click here for our Directions page. NOTE:  Do not put this address in your GPS or you will end up in Louisiana.  If you want to program GPS, insert 404 E. Broadway; Jefferson, TX.  This will take you to the Brookshire's grocery store on Broadway.  Move to the left lane and continue past Brookshire's.  Turn left at the stop sign, heading east on Hwy 49 toward Smithland.  The RV park is one mile on the right.

Does parking cost anything?
No, we have free parking that is directed by our parking attendants.

How much are tickets?
It depends on which night you come to the event and which of the attractions you choose to visit. Check out our “Schedule and Pricing” page.

Are there combination tickets?
Yes, we offer combo tickets. When you purchase a train ticket, you receive a 20% discount off of the corn maze and/or haunted house regular price.  Check out our “Schedule and Pricing” page.

If I order tickets on-line, will they be mailed to me?
No.  Tickets purchased online are E-mailed to you once you complete the checkout process.  Your confirmation e-mail will say: “PRINT AND BRING THIS E-TICKET TO OUR "WILL CALL" WINDOW”.    You must present your ticket at the Will Call window to get your boarding passes.  The ticket alone will not get you into the events.  Any duplication of E-tickets to allow multiple entries constitutes fraud and may be prosecuted.

What are your office hours at the depot?
A depot agent is available each day of the event from noon until 4:00 pm.  We will return emails and calls at that time in the order in which they were received.  We are closed Monday through Thursday but will respond to urgent email and phone messages as time allows.

Can I get tickets by phone or at Event the Box Office?
We take phone and walk-in orders at the Historic Jefferson Railway each day of the event from noon until 4:00 pm.  The depot is located at 400 E. Austin in Downtown Jefferson.  Boarding passes for phone and walk-in orders will be picked up at will-call at the event location.  You will need a valid credit card to complete a phone order.  We will accept cash or credit cards for walk-in orders.  Tickets will not be sold between 4:00 and 6:00 on the day of the event.  There will be a service charge for phone orders sold by depot ticket agents.  Walk-up orders will also be taken at the event site each day of event beginning at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased for any available train ride and for the maze and haunted house.
